There are many ways to be involved with the work of OzHarvest.

You can:

 Are you a

  • Caterer
  • Hotelier

  • Food retailer
  • Restaurant
  • Deli
  • Food provider
 Would you like to
  • be a champion of the underprivileged in your community?

By donating your excess food to OzHarvest you can achieve all these goals.

 Concerned about risks?

Recent amendments to the Civil Law (Wrongs Act 2002) were passed in the ACT Legislative Assembly and offer increased protection for food donors. We are pleased to announce these changes have led to more top quality food donations every week.
Under the legislation a donor is exempt from liability from a negligence claim if:
  • the food is donated in good faith for charitable or benevolent purposes;
  • it is not intended that the consumer of the food will have to pay for it; and
  • the food was fit for human consumption when it left the possession or control of the donor.

Function Catering?

If you are having a function and would like to donate “unexpected left overs” please ring us to arrange collection.

In order to provide safe food items to our clients, we can only accept food from professionally catered events and licensed food caterers.
