What we do
OzHarvest Canberra collects excess food and delivers it, free of charge, to organisations that feed disadvantaged men, women and children in our community. OzHarvest is the missing link between excess food and those who are at risk in our community.
Why we do it
Every day in our city, thousands of kilos of high-quality, nutritious food is thrown away, while elsewhere some people go without. The delivery of food by OzHarvest enables recipient charities to redirect funds originally budgeted for food to other programs such as education, training and rehabilitation.
